Oct 27th More Toy Borrow Bins on the beach...
On Monday two more borrow bins were deployed on Pensacola Beach and we couldn't be more excited! These two bins were beautifully built by Girl Scout Cadette Troop 1102 with troop leader Carrie Tomlinson Stevenson. Funding for these bins was provided by the Krewe of Wrecks.
These borrow bins contain beach toys either found on our beaches or donated by people who no longer had a need for them, thus giving them a second chance at life. Visitors are encouraged to borrow and return toys on their visits to our beaches. This way they don't have to purchase new ones!
These two newest bins are located at Baby Beach on the sound side behind the church, and at 1203 Ariola Drive next to the Little Free Library.
Please utilize these bins along with the other 6 that are spread out on Pensacola Beach. We have the locations pinned on our page. Please feel free to drop off any toy donations in any of the bins or bring to one of our cleanups. Please no inflatable things.
Thank you Jennifer Deubler for leading this project the last few years for Ocean Hour. It's proven to be a successful project here and we are thankful it's still rolling and adding new ones!
If you are a scout interested in building a bin or two for as your project, please reach out to us! If you would like to donate funds towards future projects our venmo is @oceanhourfl
